Standalone ECU Conversion is one of the more complex services we offer here at Apex Performance. This entails taking a modern vehicle with an ECU controlling all the engine/trans functions and installing a standalone control unit like a Fuel Tech, Holley, AEM, or any of the other manufacturers for these units.

This kind of conversion can be straightforward until you get into integration. Integrating these units into a vehicle while keeping electronic power steering, AC control and function, retaining cruise control, stock ECUs in some applications even provide power to BCMs that can control everything from power seats to powering the windows. This level of integration lets the stock ECU operate everything except the motor and transmission, leaving that to the aftermarket unit.

This level of installation is a case-by-case basis and very much achievable.
